The esteem needs: The character reached the esteem need as he was
self-confident. Noah had a feeling for Allie when he first met her in the
amusement park, and when he talked to her for the first time he asked her for a
dance. Noah was not fearful or weak when he asked for a dance even though he
did not put a possibility that he might scroll things up and fail to get her.
He kept trying until he succeeded and got a promise from her to have a date
with him. Noah was also able to take risk and try something new. He was lying on the street
watching the signals changing and then he stand up and danced with Allie. Noah
had also a self-belief of himself by saying “I can be fun, offensive, smart,
superstition and brave” to Allie to get into relationship with her.
Another self-belief was found in the scene when Noah said to the nurse “big day
today” and the nurse replied “you say that everyday big devil”. This shows that
Noah had a self-belief that his wife Allie one day she will remember him.
